Fan Feature: Q&A with Natalie from Act Naturally Photography

 Today's Fan Feature is with
Natalie Wiseman Wheeler of Act Naturally Photography.
For today Natalie has chosen to feature some
of her work from this years 365 project.
Natalie has an amazing talent of capturing lifestyle moments,
as you can see in her work she captures life just the way it is.
She has also started a new blog circle and page
called Life {Unscripted}.
I am really excited to be a part of this journey with her,
and the amazing group of photographs with us.

Here is what Natalie has to say.

Project 365: Documenting Friendships

This year I started my first Project 365.  While it's been tough to stick to at times, it's proven to be well worth the effort.  Shooting everyday has helped me define my style as a photographer.  This can be one of the toughest things for a photographer to establish, and comes with time and practice.  Project 365 has also helped me technically- you can't help but improve your skills by picking up the camera every day.  Moreover, it has taught me to think outside the box and get creative with my images.  No one (especially me!) wants to see pictures of my two kids in the same house doing the same things every day.  I take my camera out with me many days, and I also make sure to document their friendships.  When children are playing with their friends, you can really get at the core of their emotions, which can lead to some really fun and sweet photographs.  My children's' friendships are the inspiration for this post, and I hope you enjoy the photographs!

Fan Feature: Series with Danielle Kilgore Photography

Today on the blog for our fan feature we have,

Danielle Kilgore of Danielle Kilgore Photography

Today she has chosen a wonderful collections of photos
from a recent session.
Danielle has a talent for capturing everyday lifestyle
moments, and this session
she has capture that love between a new baby and
parents.
Here is what Danielle had to say,

I was recently asked to go to my clients home in Rockwood, ON.  It was a gloomy rainy day, but their beautiful home was drenched in light as they had so many windows.  This little peanut was surrounded by love, his Grandparents and Auntie were visiting while I was there, so he was cuddly warm the entire time.

We had a relaxing time with him and I think he enjoyed himself too.  I don’t know if he even knew I was there as he didn’t open his eyes hardly.  That is the beauty of in-home newborn sessions, the babies are in their own environment and snuggling with mom and dad for the majority of the time.

Thank you Danielle for sharing with us,

Fan Feature : Q&A with Ben & Priscilla Photography.

Today's fan feature is by,
Priscilla Jones of Ben & Priscilla Photography
Her images are so bright, colourful, and full
of lots of joy.
Read on to learn a little bit more about
Priscilla and her work.

Questions:
1. Tell us about yourself

My name is Priscilla Jones. My husband, Ben and I decided to unite forces this year and do photography together. I pursued photography as a business last year but due to complications with our youngest daughter I had to take a break. We are a military family stationed at Wright- Patterson. We have 3 girls; Lily 3, Sofia 2, and Sarah 8 months. They fan our flame for photography. We recently moved to Ohio from Florida and we are so excited for the change of seasons and capture all of its beauty.

2.How did you get started in photography?

I got my first point and shoot Walmart camera when I was 15. I was excited! haha then my husband got me my first dslr in 2010 after we found out we were expecting our first girl. I did it only as a hobby and loved just capturing special moments in our lives and our friends and family's lives. Then in the winter of 2012 I had a friend tell me I should really pursue it as a career and get into it. I researched and asked other photog friends about it and began my business in January of 2013. I am self taught and it was hard at first because I was labeled as 'another SAHM with a camera' but I was determined to learn and to grow and to become better with every session. I had a really successful friend tell me that many embark on the photography journey but not many continue it so to not get discouraged and just do me. That is what has kept me going when I have felt doubt.
Whats in your bag?

I started off with a Nikon d3000 and now we both have the D3200 with a 50mm lens and a 55-200 lens.

3.what is your favourite style of photography? We LOVE candid photography. Having toddlers we learned very quickly that our best shots were the ones they were in their own world doing whatever they wanted to do. Every time we have had to pose kids they end up in tears or very frustratred parents. In the end we tell our clients that10 years from now they're going to want to look back and see that special smirk your kid would make when you said something funny or their face when they played with their favorite toy.

4. Is there any photographer you look up to?

Yes! We were inspired to do photography together by watching @ashleyandtoddfilms their work is so awesome and so inspirational.

Thank you Priscilla.

Fan Feature: Series with Andrea Martin Photography

Today's Fan Feature is by,
Andrea Martin of Andrea Martin Photography
She has picked an awesome session to feature
for today. You will enjoy looking through this session,
each photo adds to the story, just a girl and her puppy, in the city.
Here is what Andrea had to say
about this session.

One of my favorite thing to photograph is children with animals!!! When a fellow photographer and dear friend asked me to do her daughters 3 year pictures I was beyond honored. I knew we had to do something fun! Jess and I brain stormed and decided a city shoot would be fun! She found the PERFECT outfit and locations for the shoot and I had the puppy! We had so much fun and I love the outcome!

Thank you Andrea!
