The Photogs Behind {CLICK}STYLE

It is Wednesday, and that means it is time for
a Wednesday Feature.
This week we are happy to feature
Grab a coffee/tea, sit back and learn more about her
wonderful work!

1. Tell us about yourself.
Hi my name is Sarah and I'm from Essex, England where I live with my wonderful husband, our two crazy sons, a Dash Dog, a Rory Cat and Charlie and Lola aka The Kittens! ... and hubby talks of getting chickens as if we don't have a crazy enough household. lol You can find out more about me on my website: www.sarahwhitephotography.weebly.com

2. How did you get started in Photography, what is in your bag?
I have a memory of when I was younger of going on a family day trip. We got about 20 minutes from home and I remembered we had left the camera behind so I made my Dad turn back and go get the camera. Unfortunately when we got to the place we were visiting as soon as I got out of the car I dropped and broke the camera.  Needless to say I am a LOT more careful with my camera now. Funnily enough that incident didn't stop my parents from letting me take photos on various trips and at one point even buying me my own camera. I have never studied photography and it wasn't until my first son was born that I became more interested in photography and slowly over the years I moved from a point and shoot to my first ever DSLR in 2008. Even then it wasn't until a few years after that that I moved off of the automatic settings and onto manual. I'm still learning and I am so lucky to have so many wonderful inspirations and friends to encourage and aid me.
As for what is in my bag (when it isn't out on the table somewhere!!) I have a Canon 60D (I upgraded the other year from the 450D), I have my favourite lenses my Nifty Fifty (50mm f1.8) and my 100mm f2.8 macro lens. I also have a couple of kit lenses, some extension tubes, some close up filters and an ND Grad Filter thingie that was a gift from my BIL who is also into photography which I'm still getting to grips with. There is probably a few packets of rasins and kiddy things. Oh and a black bin liner...

3. What is your favourite Style to photograph?
My all time favourite form of photography is portrait, I just love faces and eyes and capturing those moments, be it a loving glance, a cheeky smile or a tantrummy look. I also love lifestyle photography. Having over the last few years lost some very dear family members I have come to realise that photography has an important part in helping us to grieve and to also look back at the happy times.

4. Is there any Photographer you admire or look up to?
I always find it hard to name names, not because I don't have any but I worry that I will miss someone out and there is always someone new to admire and be inspired by.

"Weekly Favourite"

It is always harder to pick top choices for a Weekly Favourite.
It is such an open theme that brings in
the best of images done that week.
It was a hard choice!
We are very happy to see so many of you sharing
your work on {CLICK}STYLE's timeline.
Thank you, Thank you, Thank you.

And now in no particular order, here are the top 5.

The Photogs behind {CLICK}STYLE

This week I am happy to start off our Wednesday Features with the wonderful
Every Wednesday we are going to post an interview with one of the
{CLICK}STYLE Photographers.
We hope this will help you get to know more about us!
Once we have made it through all of us, then we
are going to be looking to our fans to take part in a feature.

 1. Tell us about yourself
My name is Jolyne L. Harris and I live in San Diego California with my husband and youngest son. My husband and I have 4 grown children altogether. 2 girls and 2 boys. My hobby and my passion is photography. I shoot to live and live to shoot and I am proud to say, that I am teaching my husband to shoot as well and he is becoming quite good at it! My website is www.jolynelharrisphotography.com.

 2. How did you get started in Photography, what is in your bag?
I started in photography shooting film way before digital came to be and have been teaching myself the ways of digital photography over the past 13 years or so. My camera is a Canon 6D with a 7D backup, that my hubby uses most of the time. My son is also into photography and uses an old Rebel that I started with a long time ago. I wouldn't be caught without my "Nifty 50", which is an inexpensive 50mm f1.8, I love that lens! Worth way more than it cost. I am also a proud owner of the dream 70-200mm f2.8, and if it is not on my camera it is sure to be in my bag. Another item I am seldom without is a video light. Mine is an awesome but inexpensive Neewer 160 LED ultra high powered video light. Great multipurpose light for everything from photography to camping and household power outages too!

3. What is your favourite Style to photograph?
I love photographing people. I love when I hand over images to a mother, that bring tears to her eyes. I want to capture the expressions and little things that make people happy. I also love to cook and take photos of the dishes I create. My goal is to create a cookbook for my children.

4. Is there any Photographer you admire or look up to?
There are so many photographers I admire and take inspiration from, including but not limited to Vitali Frozen, Anka Zhuravleva, Brooke Shaden and our very own group of supremely talented photographers here, who inspire me daily and give me the feedback that I need to continuously grow and improve.

"Passion"

This week we asked our {CLICK}STYLE fans
to share photos of Passion.
I must say, we got a lot of good images in last week.
We enjoyed seeing all your work, and
have felt inspired by the words that went along with the images.

Here are the top 5 in no particular order,

My passion is life. The good, the bad...all of it. Life is precious. Don't take any of it for granted. Remember everyone is fighting a battle. My dad is recovering from a massive brain bleed. Docs are amazed because they can not believe that he is alive. He is having to relearn everything. His brain is in constant turmoil and his memories are swirled together and he is lost. But, he fights, every day.
                                                           Loudmouth Photography

This image combines two of my passions, beach photography and black and white photography. I am so excited to be a part of this group. I can't wait to start seeing the images that you all post. This is going to be so much fun.

Fine art of self-portrait. I love to expressing my art through photos and get myself in it. That's who I am.

My passion is photography, and to have finally captured "the image" of my entire 20 plus year professional career truly meant so much to me, was extremely thrilling, and has driven me to try and do even better in the future! And now I am also fascinated with photographing Owls because of this shot, lol - they are my new animal/bird passion!

Thank you to all who joined us last week for {PASSION}

Join us this week for {WEEKLY FAVOURITE}
